The Uganda High Commission in Kigali in conjunction with Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) organized a Uganda Night on Saturday 18th June 2022 at the Chancery in Kacyiru, Kigali. The event which attracted close to 250 guests was attended by Government of Rwanda officials, Ambassadors and High Commissioners, other diplomats, tour operators from Uganda and Rwanda, friends of Uganda as well as Ugandans in Rwanda.

During the event, the High Commissioner (designate) Rt. Gen. Robert Rusoke together with the Chief Guest Ambassador Monique Mukaruliza, Strategic Advisor to Rwanda's Minister of Foreign Affairs were flanked by High Commissioners and Ambassadors to launch the Uganda tourism brand "Explore Uganda the Pearl of Africa"

Ugandan cuisine was served including the remarkable "rolex" as well as Ugandan drinks notably Uganda Waragi, Nile Beer and Club Beer. Uzima water made by Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) quenched guests' thirst for the night. Guests also danced to purely Ugandan music.
