At the conclusion of the 11th Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) between the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Uganda, Hon. Min. Dr. Vincent Biruta of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda signed two MoU's on Justice & Constitutionalism as well as on Mutual Legal Assistance with Hon. Kiryowa Kiwanuka, Attorney General of the Republic of Uganda.

At the conclusion of the 11th Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) between the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Uganda, Hon. Min. UGANDA HIGH COMMISSION KIGALI HOSTS UGANDANS LIVING IN RWANDA

Uganda diaspora in Rwanda under their Umbrella Association of Ugandans in Rwanda (AUR) convened a meeting to evaluate the progress of the Social Welfare Fund launched in  October 2021.

 

The purpose of establishing the Social Welfare Fund was to create a pool of funds from which  funds could be drawn to support  members in need. 

 

Since its launch in October 2021, the Fund has registered 107 members and has supported many Ugandans in terms of hospital bills, repatriation, incarceration and condolences to bereaved members.

Ambassador Rtd. Gen. Robert Rusoke, Uganda's High Commission (Designate) to the Republic of Rwanda, has presented copies of his Credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Rwanda, Hon. Dr. Vincent Biruta.

 

The two expressed their desire and commitment to work together as brothers and sisters in strengthening historical cordial bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

LAUNCH OF UGANDA TOURISM BRAND DURING UGANDA NIGHT IN KIGALI, RWANDA 18TH JUNE 2022

The Uganda High Commission in Kigali in conjunction with Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) organized a Uganda Night on Saturday 18th June 2022 at the Chancery in Kacyiru, Kigali. The event which attracted close to 250 guests was attended by Government of Rwanda officials, Ambassadors and High Commissioners, other diplomats, tour operators from Uganda and Rwanda, friends of Uganda as well as Ugandans in Rwanda.
